Investigating towards 56937 GS, Högskolan and Weight Watchers...

What the hell is going on?

It's been a long time since my last blog post and a lot has happened.

The reason I stopped writing in this thing was because I felt it was taking up a lot of my time. I did spend almost 2 hours a day just writing stuff down. Therefore I chose to stop doing it since I didn't think anyone was reading it. Today I stumbled upon a link to the blog from my Facebook page and saw that since I stopped writing the latest post has gotten 1300+ views. I don't know where all views came from but if someone likes reading this I just felt an urge to pick up writing it again.

There will be somewhat of a change. I will not be updating daily but when I have time. I will also be adding links to the achievements I'm gaining if that should interest anyone and I will be promoting some sites which interests me and other cheevo whores as well I presume. There's also somewhat of a graphic update and someday I will make a new banner.

When I stopped writing I was still in Komvux studying towards gaining admittance to Högskolan. I did achieve my goal and I am currently studying to become a computer engineer. Although this is a field I'm sure I'd like to work in the studying is crazy. It's nothing as I thought. Up until this point I've gone through the courses calcullus, programming, computer technology, algorithms and computer structures, linear algebra, some electrics and digital technology. All courses are not complete as I have failed some exams and experiments, something I'm gonna have to fix during summer vacation. With that said I'm still optimistic and I'm as hardheaded as a rhino so I will overcome.

I've also started a diet with Weight Watchers (from here on abbreviated with WW). The goal is around 80 kg I reckon and there's about 30 kg left until I hit that mark. The WW method is something that's right up my alley. It basically means you get a daily score which is your Pro Points. These points plus something called Weekly Bonus is the amount of points you should aim at eating. The best part about it is the app that goes with it. It comes packed with all types of food and the cost it brings. Then you just mark in everything you eat and the app calculates how much points you have left. Keep to the points and you will lose weight. It's hard though. It's more like a weightcoaster than a weightloss. Every other week I lose weight and every other week I gain some weight. So god damn random.

Well that's it for my first post in ages. I will return another day with another post.

Achievements

Since school has been hectic there hasn't been any time for gaming but yesterday I got the chance to play again! I will cover both yesterday and todays accomplishments in this post.

My system/disorder still "forces" me to do stuff in a specific manner. I still feel most at ease playing games alphabetically and since new games are released all the time and as new medias where games are made available pop up I'm quite often forced to jump backwards. I got up to the letter D then I found out you can rent games at the library which brought me back to A. After that I played up to Bioshock when I found Lovefilm which again brought me back to A.

I have a lot of games containing what I call "The Harder Challenges", achievements that are just nasty hard and that I give three tries/gaming session. These also follows the alphabet so even though I have games with HC achievements on the letter D I don't try them until I am playing an ordinary game on D.

Friday

Soooo... Since I was currently playing All Zombies Must Die I only had 2 HC achievements in Alan Wake's American Nightmare to try. As predicted I failed miserably while attempting these achievements. Some screaming and swearing occured before I shut the damn game off.

All Zombies Must Die is a slasher-type game except with firearms. Hordes and hordes of zombies in different flavors are chasing you while you do your best with clearing quests and collecting stuff. I am not one for multiplayer games but I think this might be more suited for 4 players instead of one. The game is awesome up until a certain point in the game when it goes from being rather hard 'til extremely controller-breakingly painful. Frustrating is only a fraction of the non-existing word that could describe this game.

Anywho... Since I completed this game the last time I played (some time after the latest ice age I think) I only had one achievement left in this game. It involves clearing "All Zombies Must Die" mode without getting hit once. "All Zombies Must Die" mode is when you find a potential new base in the game. Before you can claim it you have to beat down a whole superwave of zombies. After completing that I got the Can't Touch This achievement and also completed the game. Yeehaa!

After that I downloaded the DLC for Assassin's Creed: Revelations called the Lost Archives.

Since Assassin's Creed: Revelations is pure awesomeness on top of an already awesome sandwich I really was looking forward to this one. If I had only done some minor research beforehand I wouldn't have to get my hopes up. There is a segment in the original title where the main character is exploring a place without any real data. Therefore there's only blocks and not blocks. Stand on the blocks and you live and if you don't? Well, I guess you can fill in the blanks... So I quickly realized that this DLC only featured this type of gameplay and oh the frustration!

So I started playing and one of the actions you can perform is to place blocks so you can create walkways to progress the story. Should you fall you can save yourself from falling. Should you do this from a 25 metres fall you will get the Save Yourself achievement.
I did this in Memory One for a specific reason. You see I fell off a block and almost died so in an attempt to save my beehind I placed a block underneath me and the achievement popped. You don't even need skill anymore! Following through the story and completing Memory One I got the Part of the Creed achievement.
After this Memory Two ensued which contained abolutely no achievements. Sucks to be me... On the other hand the memory was quite short. In Memory Three however you will come across a new ability which involves a new placable block which allows you to jump higher than usual. A lot higher... Higher as in if you don't watch your descend with other placable blocks you'll probably make a splat-like sound when you land. After this ability has been acquired you just need to jump up on the next platform and pick up the letter that lies here to get the Jump They Say achievement.

No achievement as I cleared Memory Three. Memory Four is comprised by two parts. The first part keeps the style the game has had up to this point but as you reach part two the style changes and you're introduced to a lot of laser beams. I also received the Enter the Animus achievement.
After reaching the end of Memory Four I really thought I was getting a new achievement but nooooo. I had to go through entire Memory Five too to get the Meet Your Maker achievement.
Next achievement didn't come right away. Memory Six ended and Memory Seven started. Memory Seven also involved a very frustrating area where you are supposed to jump between small rooms with particles that is travelling in different directions. These rooms of particles are the only places where blocks can be created and placed. So you have to create a jumpblock, jump from one room to another (which has no floors by the way) and continue doing so until there is once again ground under your feet. Not long after this Memory Seven ends and I got The Loop achievement.

This achievement sucks balls since it's gotten as the game starts over! You actually have to do it all over again. In order to break the loop you have to collect all collectables in the DLC. So off I went from Memory One and without any major problems (except for the particle-room-jump-segment) I got the 20 collectables needed for the Find All Pieces achievement which also meant I could now break the loop. I Played through the game a third time up until Memory Five where something had changed. A new bridge was built with the pieces I had been collecting. After crossing the bridge a new cutscene was played and I got the Breaking the Loop achievement.

This meant that only two achievement remained. Skill-based achievements. Yuck!
The first achievement involved clearing part two of Memory Four without failing once. This was not as hard as I thought. I would have made it the first try if it wasn't for a mental blockade which stopped me from placing a block before dying on the finish line. Literally...
On the second try I got the Impress Warren Vidic achievement.
The last achievement was of course to get through my most hated part of the DLC. The particle room jump things. Supposedly it was meant to potrait the River Styx. Very fitting name. After 20 or so tries I finally got the Cross Styx without Dying achievement.
Thereby I had also completed the DLC.

The rest of the day I played Batman: Arkham City. Not that I have anything I can show for it...

All in all a rather nice day for achievements with 11 achievements worth 270 GS and spanning 2 games.

Saturday

Not as many achievements but quite important still. Since I beat both All Zombies Must Die and the DLC for Assassin's Creed: Revelations the next game in line was Batman: Arkham City. This opened up new HC achievements in both Batman: Arkham Asylum (which I've lent to a friend) and Backbreaker Vengeance.

I started with 3 tries in Alan Wake's American Nightmare as per usual and as usual I got my ass handed to me. I don't think I will be able to get these achievements. I'm not entirely sure I want to work this hard for them either. I love Alan Wake but this DLC-title is not as good in my opinion.

So I started playing a Backbreaker Vengeance aiming for the three achievements I still had left. First achievement is available through the mode Tackle Alley. After a few attempts I got The Jester achievement which involves showboating at least 30 yards in Tackle Alley. I actually have no idea why this was a HC achievement. I guess I got so mad the remaining to achievements that I just stopped playing the game...
The next achievement was in the mode Vengeance and this too was rather easy and I got the Relentless achievement after just a few tries. The achievement involved getting through all five waves of a Vengeance match without failing once.

The last achievement was far from easy. This also involved playing in Vengeance Mode but now I had to beat all matches. There are 20 all in all with 5 waves each. It starts out easy enough but gets extremely hard at the end. I had gotten up until 17 so I only had 3 matches to go. I gave it a lot more than three tries though. I just had a feeling that today would be the day. And I was right. After a lot of swearing and progressively turning into the poster boy for anger management treatment I finally got the Tackle Master achievement and also completed the game. Nice to cross off one of the HC games off my list.

There. No I could finally make som real progress for a change. It feels as if I'm only trying to get HC achievements these days.

I continued playing New Game + since I already cleared the game once and got all the collectables. New Game + is somewhat harder where the counter arrows have been removed. Other than that 2 more major (minor?) changes has been imbued in the experience. The fight against Mr. Freeze has gotten way more tactical where Freeze's health is substantially more potent which forces you to think of so many more ways to take him down in order to defeat him. Also a new part has been added after the last boss has been defeated. A Predator room for Catwoman where you go head to head with Two-Face.

I played through almost the entire story these past two days. I picked up the Catch achievement for throwing a remote controlled batarang to the mysterious overseers that pop up all over the map.
The New Game + is somewhat harder with a few more attempts at some parts of the game but I still had no bigger issues in getting the Twice Nightly achievement for beating New Game +.

All in all a rather good day for achievements netting me 5 achievements worth 130 GS spanning 2 games.

Slicing towards 24320 GS, Superman and physics...

When I went to sleep last night I put on the mandatory show for sleepy-time. The series Smallville. For those of you who don't know... (Damn you!) It's a show about Clark Kents early days before becoming the Man of Steel. It's always been one of my favourite shows but I've always wondered: What was the people behind Superman smoking when they came up with this superhero? He's damn near indestructible, he can shoot fire from his eyes and he can lift... we almost anything. Let's put Superman up for the physics test... I will be using stuff from the movies, the comics and Smallville to the extent of my knowledge of course...

A rundown of Supermans powers for starters:
Speed: He can move faster than a speeding bullet. Now I don't know excactly how fast that is but it's probably damn fast. In one of the movies with Cristopher Reeves, Lois dies and in an attempt to save her life he goes back in time by flying backwards around Earth. For this to be possible he must be travelling at the speed of light (or near it at least.)
Flight: All who know of Superman knows that he can fly. Probably the first thing that comes to mind when you mention his name.
Strength: He has been lifting and throwing stuff through all of the medias shown above. In the lastest movie he slowly stops a Boeing something something plane from crashing. He is damn strong.
X-Ray vision: He can see through solid objects. Everything except lead.
Heat vision: He can emit heat from his eyes setting the spot he stares at on fire.
Indestrutible: He can take practically any amount of asskicking without it leaving a scratch. He cannot be shot or blown up for example.
Superhearing: He can hear stuff that happens from a great distance.

Supermans weaknesses:
Kryptonite: Green Kryptonite could potentially kill him and every villain in the world seems to have one or two of these rocks lying around. Lead is the only thing that protects Superman from Kryptonite exposure. There are also different Kryptonite that affects him in a various amount of ways.

As we can tell from the information above Superman is not really something that would work in real life based on his weakness alone. He could easily create a lead armor and be even more awesome.
Because of his powers I thought it would be fun, since I've studied some physics, (I'm not an expert mind you) to analyze if it's even remotely possible that a Superman would somewhere along the line visit our great blue planet.

Let's start from the top with the speed. As shown by physicists all around the world it's not possible to travel at the speed of light. The amount of energy needed to travel at that speed would rip everything apart. Period... It doesn't matter if he can take a bullet. To make things a little more easy to grasp: The speed of light is 299,792,458 metres per second. It's measure comes from the speed light has in vacuum. And not only light but all massless particles. As far as I know Superman is not massless.

What about flight then? Well, since he doesnt' have any soft of powering device we would just have to imagine that he is "moving himself". The only way I could see this possible is if he negates gravity. (The little thing that keeps us on the ground.) Now gravity is not random. Gravity is basically the difference between two masses. In order for Superman to "negate" gravity he has to have a higher mass than Earth which I find highly unlikely. If he had a higher mass than Earth, then Earth would get pulled towards Superman since, he now has a greater mass than Earth. Sorry to burst your bubbles.

What's next? Oh, his strength. We will actually combine his strength and his indestructability to make it easier to break the myth. The strength itself is hard for me to explain. I guess it is theoretically possible to have super-strength but combined with his indestrutible body we can start to punch some holes in the theory. In order for Superman to be indestructable he has to have higher density that normal people. Density is how close together the particles are to each other in any matter. This would also increase his weight substantially. Now I've seen Superman do some crazy shit but let's take one of the classics. Imagine you're falling from a building and Superman catches you on the ground. First of all his strength makes you very light for this hunk of skin. Coupled with him being indestructable it would actually be better if you landed on the ground. This guy can get shot. He won't even feel you crash into him. It will literally be like being launched into a mountain from a space station. You know the things that shoot rockets up in the air? In an episode of Smallville I saw Clark Kent catch a car like it was nothing in midair. The problem is that in real life the car would become dust.

The x-ray vision could work since we actually have machines that can do it. But let's think about it for a moment. Have you ever gotten an x-ray of any sort. Like when a dentist checks your teeth? Well they give you something to bite on to and then they all leave the room. Why? Well x-rays are waves at a certain wavelength. This particular wavelength is radioactive and can be dangerous to people. So the defender of humanity who wouldn't hurt a fly would not go around using it since it can hurt people.

The other two remaining powers, the heat vision and the super-hearing is probably not possible either. I just couldn't find a way to make it impossible so let's leave those to for someone else to crack...

Another little sidenote. What about his appearance? I mean why can't the people around him see that he is Superman? I mean, come on! If Clark Kent was my friend and he removed his glasses and put some gel in his hair and started flying I would notice... Please...

So to sum things up: Superman can unfortunately not visit us any time soon. Not until all the laws about physics have been rewritten. I feel kinda sad. I really like Superman. He is the epitome of justice and defender of all.

He is a hero...

Achievements (contains spoilers)
I am pissed! Really, really pissed! I will explain why but first: Huge day for achievements!

I had a long day in school so it was rather late when I got home. When I did get home I did some laundry for Emma since she was still working at the time. Then I booted up Afro Samurai and continued the story...

I was apparently at the level Kuma's Story. It was a snowy, very straightforward level in a valley of sorts surrounded by cliffs. There was no enemies save for one. A guy in a bear mask. So I was gonna chase him apparently. During my chase he'd dissapear and launch up through the ground in an attempt to kill little old me. I ran in to him twice while getting the first 2 mementos for this level. After that I reached a big snow field where the bear-guy was waiting for me. We had some sword-to-sword action before he once again fled up a destroyed tower. Here I found the third memento. After I climbed up the tower I found myself in something that reminded me of a ship. Of course it wasn't a ship since it stood on to pillars (which I originally thought was a tower.) This is one of those traditional japanese structures you see in all the movies. They are usually red I might add. After another fight with the bear-man I found my fourth memento. After climbing the last few steps the building caved down and I was now in a last stand against the bear man. The last fight was rather intense but I got him down without a bigger fuss. After that I got The Past Laid to Rest achievement for finishing Kuma's Story. I then had to redo the whole chapter to find the last memento which apparently also was up in the building before it collapsed. That got me the Widow Maker achievement.

Oh snap! He died...

The next level was The Empty Seven's Story. This was a rather big level. At least it felt big. It mostly consisted of a big room where you'd first be attacked by a smaller country's worth in men and later you had to pull levers to gain acces to another part of the tower. I got up the first path of the level, getting the mementos available on the way and was presented with a mini-boss of sorts. An old guy was shooting at me with a gun. After a succesful reflect the bullet hit another old guy who was set on fire (!?) This old man then started chasing me throught the room until I could lure him down a tube with gears grinding his body to bleh...
This put me back in the original room where I had to pull a second lever and climb up another part of the tower where I was presented with yet another mini-boss. This was an easier one. An old guy just summoned regular ninjas which was dead faster than Superman can run in real life.
Oh... back in the first room... again... Now I had to pull the third lever and climb up a third part of the tower. The controls really didn't make these climbs easy. I'm starting to get annoyed more than I enjoy the game now... Never a good sign. Before entering the last door at the top I got the last of the mementos netting me The Samurai Ghost achievement. But that's not all. I also got The Number One achievement for unlocking all skills in the game! Inside the door I got to face the boss which was a favourite of mine. The flamethrower guy. Yay! Not! This time he only had a stick though and was still easier than the first time I fought him. Upoon defeating him I got the All That Stood Are Gone achievement.

How dare you jump over my sword?!

Now I entered Ninja Ninja's Story which i'm not gonna spoil. It does contain either the longest or shortest boss fight of all depending on how lucky you are. I managed to get the Kengo achievement and the Four to the Floor achievement for getting 1000 kills and slicing 4 enemies at once respectively.

Now it was time for the last battle. This is also something I will not spoil. It's an enjoyable fight once you get the hang of it. Pretty hard at first though.Whn I finally killed the boss ( I died quite a few times at first) I got the Revenge Served? achievement.

This game is pretty awesome!

Not much left to do now. I would have to play through the story one more time on Hard before I'm done but I still had some random achievements left so I started working on those.
This is why I'm pissed. The card mini-game thing is killing me. It took me a few tries before getting the Kunoichi Suicide Queens achievement which is for slicing off a head, a hand and a leg from female ninjas only. The next one was even worse. The enemies needed for the cards have a tendancy to block... a lot... It took me about 35 tries to get the Off Suit Samurai achievement which is for slicing off a head, a hand and a leg from samurais. Only one card achievement left to get. And this proved to be the worst of the bunch. I never managed to get it even after about 20 tries. I did however get the Let it Flow achievement which means I've now spilled 2000 galons of blood (Awesome achievement!) The last remaining card achievement will have to wait for another day. Now I'm off...
All in all I got 11 achievements worth 325 GS!

Looks like it's steak for dinner tonight.

Go achieve something!

Slicing towards 24320 GS, The Kings of Tylösand and other crap...

Today the new show called "Kungarna av Tylösand" started on TV. I was very intrigued as to what this show could be about. I knew that it took place here in my hometown Halmstad and therefore I was kinda curious as to what it was all about. Surfing the internet I came across some footage from the first episode so I decided to check it out. I'm very glad I did.
This must be one of the most stupid shows I've ever laid eyes on. It's all about drinking, puking and having sex. A show that needs to use the sex card is no show I'm interested in seeing. I really don't understand why people want to watch shit like this. Is it because you want what they have (please tell me it isn't so?) Or is it mearly the fact that you like to watch people fuck up as badly as possible? One hour of crap and not the good kind of crap but pure crap. From the behind-crap. Utterly useless crap... I think you understand where I'm going with this.
One guy apparently scored 2 times with two different girls. With TV-cameras in the rooms. Good for you! I'm sure there are better things you could do with your time. Cure AIDS, feed the hungry or even paint your house and later watch the paint dry! I'm sorry but I'm getting pretty pissed about this. The networks are giving the public what they want so you better start liking other shit.
Let's try to analyze what makes this interesting:

It contains:
Sex - Sex is nice and we probably all like sex. For ourselves. If you want to watch sex there's millions and millions of movies and clips on the internet. Watch it there so we can have regular shows on TV, please.
Drinking - Drinking can be fun but isn't it really more of an annoyance than fun? How many times doesn't people start to fight when they're drunk. I've had my share of fighting with people while under the influence and it's not fun. Not fun to watch either. I don't know if this show contains fighting since I haven't watched more than the clips online but I'm guessing it does.
Nothing more... - As I said I didn't watch it but I mean we've been through this before. Paradise Hotel, Big Brother, Jersey Shore and every other of these shows. It's done already. Give me more Ullared!

I can't really say I'm being more productive than these people and they are probably doing what they are doing because they wanna have fun. Just like me... We just don't like the same thing apparently...

I've ranted enough. Now I'm gonna go watch a good sexless (so far) show called Fringe.

The worst thing I've ever seen on television. Steer clear! Unless you like watching sex, drinking and puking...

It's a cheese!                                                  What might this be?

Achievements (contains spoilers)
Had a good run today as well. I continued through the story on Afro Samurai. I started by replaying the level from hell for the 3 mementos I mssed yesterday. But before that I got the Hundred Head Hunter achievement for chopping off 100 heads with a critical strike. Gief more blood bitte!
The second playthrough of a levels always goes by faster than the first time around. I got The Demon of Vengeance achievement for finding all 5 mementos in the level not long after that.
Since I didn't know if it saves your progress only by picking up the mementos I was forced to play through the entire level again. I came to a place where you're supposed to do the minigames with the cards. I had done this last night but apparently I did it wrong. This time I got the Gutshot Android Flush achievement for completing an Android Straight Flush. I'm not really sure excactly how you get these achievements. Sometimes they pop and sometimes they don't. The only thing I do know is that it needs to be a specific type of enemy. As to which bodyparts you must sever... Well, your guess is as good as mine.
After that I had to defeat the bitch with the flamethrower. I had a really hard time with him last night. It went a little easier today. He has different phases. The first one he just uses his flamethrower against you, the second he starts launching himself up in the air by flaming downwards and the last phase he launches himself up but shoots 2 more times downward before landing. Usually bosses with different phases gets harder the longer the fight progresses. But not this asshole. He gets easier as he starts launching himself. When I had laid him to rest Emma wanted to play Guitar Hero...

This guy looks pretty badass. He is pretty badass as well!

We continued playing through some songs on Easy to start things off in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. As usual it got pretty boring pretty fast so we decided to play Through the Fire and Flames after a couple of songs. The goal is to perfect it on Easy because the song contains a lot of notes which can give me the achievement for getting a 2000 note streak. We didn't get it but we did get the Half Mill' Club achievement for scoring 500.000 points on a song in Co-Op. Finally something from Guitar Hero! Then she ran off the the TV for some show she wanted to see...

This kinda looks like Afro Samurai except he is more mellow in this title.

I returned to the world of Afro Samurai and started the next level called The Lowdown East Pass. I was expecting a great big maze since it's become harder and harder to find your way around the levels. This was not the case however. The layout of this level was enjoyable and didn't annoy me as much as the previous one. It's getting harder though. Here I was introduced to badass article 39... I was gonna reflect a shot from a gun. With a sword... I like over-the-top crap! After getting shot about 675 times I finally got the I am Rubber achievement for killing an enemy with a reflected shot. Yay me! I suck most of the time until I manage to do something right. Then, suddenly, I am the king of the gaming world!
Shortly after this litte encounter I got the Bushi achievement for unlocking 40 skills. I still don't know what these skills are but I don't care anymore. Afro is awesome and that's all that matters!
After getting my 40th unknown skill I got The Number Two achievement for finding all 5 mementos on this level. And I did it the first time around! I'm awesome... This level was coming to an end and that's too bad. I kinda liked it. It was some puzzles and some asskicking all bundled up to an awesome level.
But what did I see? The flamethrower guy is back? And this time he got a rocket launcher? Wonderful... Lucky for me this boss was a cakewalk and I got The Path to Godhood achievement for finishing the level.

"I'm just gonna stand here, smoking my cigarette with an awesome shot of the rocky background behind me..."

Now Emma wanted to play Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock again. This time we didn't get any achievements what-so-ever but Emma is getting better and better everyday. She might even beat me someday! I guess she will be the one who gets me the Expert achievements then.

I dove back into Afro Samurai and started the next level. Even more linear than the previous level. This made the mementos easier to find. Halfway through the level, though, I was stopped by a miniboss of sorts. a copy of my own character. This guy was like nothing I've ever faced before. He kicked my ass from here to sunday. I just had to check videos on YouTube to understand what I was supposed to do. After some practicing I finally got the strategy down and once I understood how to do it he was rather easy. Flamethrower-guy is still on my most-hated list. He will probably remain there for a long time, too. Not long after that fight I got The Death Bringer achievement for collecting the 5 mementos.
Now I was introduced yeat another copy... Or something like that. It was a robot that threw me in the air and we had a bout flying through the air. Each time I started to get too close to the ground he threw me up again. The fight took a lot of time to understand. I didn't die but I didn't kill him either. I was kind of a deadlock. He catched me and threw me back up again two times before I killed him. I think that if you do it right from the beginning you won't see that sequence at all. I got the Copy-Cat Killer upon Slicing that mo-fo up!
All in all I got 10 achievements across 2 games worth 165 GS!

If this was "Kungarna av Tylösand" she would get naked right about now...

Go achieve something!

Me and My Life
Got a coll from a friend today. It started out pretty trivial with him asking me why his MSN wasn't working. He had reinstalled OS on his computer and couldn't get it to work.
Anywho as the conversation progressed he said he wanted to show me a case that he built for some light equipment which we could use the next time we wanted to DJ. Well, you see... Every midsummer-eve we have an event of sorts. It's a dance event held where all the students gather in tents and drink a lot of alcohol. Four years ago we decided to go there since we didn't know where else to go. Prior to this me and a friend had bought a sound system which we could use if we wanted to play somewhere sometime. When we bought them we had never played anywhere but my friend had gotten a turntable as he wanted to start to play around with some DJ:ing. So four years ago we decided to pack everything up including a party-tent and go to a football-court and just play. No announcement or anything. That night turned out to be rather good with all the people from the other tent gathering inside ours, dancing their asses off. This turned out to be a tradition. We now go there every year and play for people that want to dance and have a good time. It doesn't even cost anything. Since then the "event" has also grown quite a bit. Every year we get some new piece of equipment for said event. It started with a few lights and this year we had a bigger tent, smoke, laser, lights and a lot of people. Not an enormous amount of people but more than previous year. Therefore we now want more. A dream would to make our events big as hell and be able to charge a small fee for a night of dance and fun. We are far from our goal but we are somewhat progressing still. Me and my friend talked about getting banners or backdrops where we could put our logo since it's been hard to understand who was in charge of the event. This year we got jackets with our logo on and the word "CREW" on it. This kinda failed though since people only thought we were security. We also want to do this more than just once a year and maybe getting an indoor place for an event too.We want to play hardstyle and the likes but in the end it's usually the people there who decides. If people dance to hardstyle we play hardstyle but if they don't we play something else. It usually varies between house, dance and hardstyle.

We had a blast as always. You might join us next year?

Achievements (contains spoilers)
I continued playing Afro Samurai today. It's still an enjoyable game. Not the best I've played but also not the worst. The story seems off and a bit strange but Samuel L. Jackson's character is awesome. He says all the profanity you might need from a game and is obviously the comic relief of the title.
Starting off on the second level called School Invasion I leveled up after a few fights. This got me the Ashigaru achievement for unlocking 10 skills. I don't really know what these skills are though. The character behaves as he did in earlier chapters and seems to take as much damage and so on. I guess I will find out later on. Before reaching the end of the chapter I got the Torso from Tail achievement which means I have now cut 50 people in half. This game just keeps getting better and better! Upon completing the chapter I got The Death of Innocence achievement.
The next chapter started instantly and it was a single boss fight. I sliced the guy up like shish kebab (this game is rather easy) and got The Price for Vengeance achievement. In the first chapter I had missed a collectible forcing me to replay the chapter. The same happened on the chapter before the boss fight but this time I had missed 2. It seems they are getting more and more elusive. Damn colletibles! I Love you!!! So back to square 1... or something. I had a lucky break during the second time through the chapte and got the Three-way achievement which means I cut three people in half at the same time. After redoing the chapter again at a much slower pace I got the Afro Samurai achievement for collecting all 5 of the mementos and unlocking my second skill passed down from my father.

Uh-uh... You know he dead!

At the start of the next chapter I got the Rhythm Section achievement for achieving a total of 3000 combos. You fight quite a lot in this game about a black samurai. Go figure...
Then I was introduced to a minigame of sorts. A rather cool one at that too. You are presented with three playing cards which all represent something. In this case I was supposed to slice off a hand, a leg and a stomach for the Made Hand Ronin achievement. I don't really know what it is good for but I find it rather hilarious to just throw something like that into the game. This level was a real pain in the ass as well. Long and hard to find where the hell you're going. I got the Hatamoto achievement halfway through the chapter which is for unlocking 25 skills (which I still don't know what they are.) WHen I finally reached the end of the chapter I was pissed. The level is a pain in the ass and controls are getting more dodgy when I start to get the hang of how to control Afro. That makes it more annoying when he doesn't perform the way I wanted to. But now I was at the boss at least. Just slice him up and you're done. Well, I'll be god damned! This mo-fo is the hardest thing this game has presented me with to say the least. I hate games that are ont leveled. The game has been easy as pie up to this point and now it has me retrying over 15 times. Argh... I might just suck! After finally killing him I got the Love Lost achievement. Glad that's over... I'm not too happy that since I only got 2 of the collectibles on this chapter I have to do it all again. That will have to wait until tomorrow though. I'm too pissed to keep playing now.
All in all I got 10 achievements worth 140 GS!

If you fuck with the Afro Samurai you get combed... Combed? For God's sake I suck!

Slicing towards 24310 GS, afros and the library...

Me and My Life
Well, what's new? Started off another boring day at school with math I'm snoozing through followed by an experiment in chemistry where we were supposed to check residues and such from various metals and the likes. It was pretty fun but the different smells that was released in that room brought out one hell of a headache. But I have to endure if I want a high grade I guess. On the break between math and chemistry I went to the reception and checked how many more hours I have to complete before I can apply for högskolan (university?) It seems I need 450 more hours which translates into one more semester. 18 weeks to be more exact. I then wanted to check how much longer I can apply for student loans. Here was the shocker... After the 18 weeks I'm currently studying I have 9 more weeks where I'm allowed student loans on this level of study. This is nothing short of a disaster since I'm sooooo close to graduating I can smell it. So I might just have to try and find a part time job (What?!? In this economy?!) to keep me and my loved one afloat. Everything usually turns out for the best. Only time will tell.
After school me and my girlfriend went to the library to check out a book written by an english-speaking author long before I was born. I had to have this bookfor my english course. I would never set foot in a library if I didn't have to. I might explore it a lot though since they nowadays rent out games as well. Seeing how I won't have money to buy games I might as well rent them and sack them for achievements! MUAHAHAHA! I'm evil... I'm gonna watch an episode of Fringe (Yay, I'm cool again!) before turning in...

Achievements (contains spoilers)
According to the banner I've yet again switched games. When I went to the library and rented a game I just had to get one on the letter A (since I'm crazy.) I had Amped 3 and Afro Samurai to chose from. Amped 3 doesn't seem to be a very good game but Afro Samurai seems awesome.
I was somewhat right. It's (I'm guessing here) based of an Anime as far as I can see and it's one bloody game. It stars Afro Samurai. A black, katana-wielding badass with an afro worthy of some kind of reward. It's just bouncy and fluffy. He seems to be on a quest to find the second headband which he really wants to get his hands on. I can't really tell you why since I haven't gotten very far. The story doesn't seem to be of the epic kind but what can you expect from a Hack 'n' Slash title? The only downfall to the game so far is the somewhat dodgy controller. The coolest thing about it is that Samuel L. Jackson stars as one of the voices in the game. He got one hell of a voice....
Anywho, I started the game and was introduced to some sort of training mission (as always). Two guys charged me and I started to slash my way through them with the afro just tagging along. I immediately got the Mash Medley achievement and the Give Me a Hand achievement for keeping a combo going for 20 hits and slicing off an enemy's hand respectively. Awesome game! I started to play around with the controls and found a button which seemed to slow down time and a flash went across the katana. It stopped at the tip of the sword and then disappeared. I realized that you're supposed to slash when it's at the top for more power. Upon using it against a poor ninja (with far less skills than Afro Ninja) I cut him in half (yes in half!) and got the Closer to God achievement for cutting an enemy in half using a critical hit. I continued using this awesome move and got the Hats off to You achievement and the Hip Hop achievement for cutting off someones head using a critical hit and simply cutting off a foot respectively. I met one last ninja and got the This Little Piggy achievement for slicing off both fingers and toes from one enemy. This seems to be one of the more elusive achievements since it's purely based on luck. After that I got the And so it Begins achievement for playing through the prelude.

Slow-mo, mo-fo!

After this I started the actual game and rather quickly I got the Meijin achievement which means killing 100 enemies (damn, you kill a lot of enemies.) Now I found this game's collectibles Don't you just love collectibles? The more the better! There seemed to be five in this episode so going through it, slicing people left and right I searched for them as good as I could but I only found 4 before standing face to face with the boss. After defeating him I got the A Secret History achievement. Chapter 1 complete... But... But... One collectible is still there just waiting for me! So of course I replayed the chapter to find the fifth one. On my way through the chapter again I accidently got the Two Birds One Sword achievement which involves slicing two enemies in half at the same time. Following that I got the Slow Your Roll achievement for slicing an enemy in the midst of an attack (WTF?! Is that an achievement?) Finally I got the The Child Without a Name achievement for finding all 5 Mementos (collectibles which unlocks skills passed down from your father, apparently.) After this I just stopped playing since I had gotten a lot of achievements (a quarter of them, actually) in a rather short time. Don't want the game to be over too soon.

You just gut served, biatch! (See what I did there? Gut... I'm awesome...)

All in all I got 12 achievements worth 80 GS.

Go achieve something!

Freeflowing towards 23310 GS and not much else...

Me and My Life
As the title suggests not much has been happening today. I woke up to my girlfriend telling me that her parents will be arriving in a bout 5 minutes. After that I was up... We were gonna go and pick up the couch that they bought about 4 weeks back. Since I know the people that work there me and Emma went along to make sure the pickup went as planned. The fact that Emmas parents are deaf might be another factor. We stuffed the couch on a trailer and then we were off again.
Back home we just chilled almost all day... Now I'm sitting here rather pissed of how Battlestar Galactica ended. I now wonder if I might've missed a season or something but using all the power of the internet I can't find any information concerning hwo to get a hold of the 5th season (which started airing 1 January apparently.) Therefore I started watching another show called Fringe. The first epidoe was rather cool and I look forward to continue watching it. I might also pick up some Anime since I found a site where you can stream almost anything from the artists in Japan.

Achievements (contains spoilers)
Well I haven't been playing a lot today either. I started playing Batman: Arkham Asylum where I'm currently focusing on the challenges in the game. I started by attempting one of the easier achievements. After a few tries I got the Invisible Predator achievement which involves playing through an entire Predator level using only Silent Takedowns and without being detected. After that I started working on getting medals on the Predator levels. I got 5-6 today. In total I got 14 or 15. Just 8 or 9 to go.

The guards are totally retarded for not spotting Batman during these challenges due to the lighting. But I guess that's why they decided to become criminals

After that me and my girlfriend played Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock yet again. Easy is so boring so it's hard to play through to many songs without slipping into a coma. We did a few though before going into the Hard difficulty. Emma is doing really well (even though she has random fits against the game and TV.) She can get pretty upset when she loses. It's a good thing I'm not the one she's mad at.
All in all I got 1 lousy achievement worth 10 G. That's... not so awesome...

Freeflowing towards 23310 GS, sign language and Gekås...

As I suspected I didn't have time to write anything last night. Therefore there will be one big ass post today instead. I applaude you if you finish it all...

Me and My Life
Fridays are my "home from school"-days. My schedule is quite the breeze. I have two classes starting at 10.00 and finishing at 15.30 on mondays, one class starting 8.10 and finishing 9.40 on tuesdays and every other wednesday. That leaves only thurday which is also the worst day of the week with two classes starting at 8.10 and finishing at 15.30 with one big ass break from 9.40 to 13.10. This is where I usually do my flex-courses. There's only one thing that would be better and tat's to have wednesday off. Having one day in the middle of the week let's you recuperate your lost energy...
This friday we went shopping and spent a lot of money as usual. It's impossible for us to go and buy only the essentials. We always bring home more than agreed upon. The funny thing is that we were at the same store just one week ago and as I was packing the bags I said, rather, loudly that we wouldn't return for at least a month (or something like that.) Well, the cashier challenged us and told us that she'd expect us the following week. I'm grateful for the fact that I didn't run into her yesterday. It would have been embarrasing to say the least.
That night Emmas parents arrived for a quick visit. They are very easy to be around even though they are deaf. That might have sounded harsh and I don't like to admit it but I thought I would have a problem with the fact that they are deaf. How would I communicate if they can't hear me? But this is just me being prejudice of course. I feel bad for the fact that I was thinking that the first time I met them. I mean, they are far from retarded and you can get a long way by using only your body language. They do understand. Since then I've been learning some sign language. It's awesome to know it since me and Emma can say stuff to each other "in secret" if we wish. I'm not saying I'm good at it yet but I can use the letters to form words which Emma can pick up rather easy. It's worse the other way around since she has a tendency to speed up the signing on her part. She is able to form letters using the alphabet at lightning-fast speed.
The following day we got up early and began our journey to hell. Gekås, Ullared. It's a horrible store which I ansolutely hate to be in. Sometimes it's necessary though. Especially when you don't have any clothes to put on your back. The reason the store is as horrible as it is, is becuase of all the people who are shopping there at the same time. A kind of rush that is unimaginable occurs among all the trolleys and old farts who is attacking everyone that happens to be in front of them. The mentality in the store is mixed. We have the hags who keeps running their trolleys into your heals and the people that seem to find my rantings about how this place needs to disappear from the face of the earth funny. Today was an exception though. I didn't hate it as much as usual and my guess is that it is because of my new shoes. I usually get a staggering pain after about 20 minutes. Now we spent about 4 hours in the store and I din't have any pain. I could also stand the store for a longer peiod of time. But going there too often is out of the question. Once a year, tops.

I'm starting to see an image form... Do you?

Achievements (contains spoilers)
Well, I must say I have been productive these lest two days. After Emmas parents went to bed me and her played Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock as usual. No achievements but a good time none the less. We started off on Easy since I wanna get the achievement for 5-starring all songs but later on we went over to Hard since Easy is a drag... We might even get the achievement for 5-starring every song on Hard? That's up to Emma to decide, though.

I love rock n' roll...

After Emma had gone to bed I continued my journey alone. I booted up Batman: Arkham Asylum and continued with the story. After some time I got the Poisoned Ivy achievement for kicking Poison Ivy's ass and flower. The fight was rather enjoyable as well. A bit too easy maybe but I guess I will have my work cut out for me when I try to do the same thing on Hard. With the exception for the last achievement in the story I was done and decided to start going after the collectibles. Seeing how I was now facing the last stretch of the game I felt confident enough to be able to find them all. I went back to the beginning and started to collect my ass off. Seeing how The Riddle has left maps in each region which shows secrets on the map it was rather easy to find them. After a while I got the Mental Athlete and the Riddle Resolver achievements which represents 70% and 85% of the riddles respectively. When I checked the map I realized that all the collectibles remaining was inside the building where the final fight would take place so I decided to get some of those extra achievements. At the entrance to "the party" Joker is having are 20 henchmen who are guests at said party. One achievement involved these 20 people. I quickly got the Party Pooper achievement for slapping all 20 henchmen silly. These doesn't attack you if you don't attack them so I guess it would be possible to miss this achievement by letting them be. One of the extra achievements proved to be quite hard when it didn't have to be. After a lot of tries I got the Catch! achievement which makes you throw a Remote Controlled Batarang and then steer it back toward you and catch it. It's supposed to be very easy but I was able to fuck it up more than once. It was starting to get pretty late so I decided to get the last extra achievement before going to bed. After finding the highest place on the island I got the Night Glider achievement which means gliding for 100 metres without touching the ground.

This is the type of stuff that you need to scan for the riddles...

The following day after returning from hell I went back to Arkham Asylum and took on the last fight. I realized that this was not the last building where the rest of the riddles were but cutscenes started playing and I couldn't leave once I had entered. I would have to get the remaining riddles after the fight. I will not say what the last fight involved but upon completion I got 2 achievements: The Mano-A-Mano achievement for defeating a Titan without any gadgets and the Big Bang achievement for clearing the game on Easy.
Seeing how I'd missed the last riddles by walking through the last door not knowing it didn't lead to the building I thought I had to get them now. It didn't take long to scoop them up though and it gave me the Crack the E Nigma achievement for solving all of the riddles. During these riddles I've come across tablets with information about the Spirit of Arkham. These tablets we're marked on the maps left around by The Riddle but when I completed all the riddles one last tablet was still missing. I had found all the riddles by myself but seeing how there wasn't any more marks on any of the maps I had no idea of where to look for the last tablet. So I cheated. I went online and after some running I got the World's Greatest Detective achievement for solving Arkham's greatest mystery. This is usually when achievements become a struggle. After you beat the main game the developers like to throw in the harder things for completionists to do. This was no exception. I now needed to do the Challenges which involves either fighting a bunch of idiots for score for 4 rounds or to do sneak-type missions. Every challenge has three obtainable medals. The Freeflow challenges (fighting) has three different scores and the Predator Challenges has three objectives for takedowns per map. I started off by collecting the Flawless Freeflow Fighter achievement for making it through all 4 rounds without taking damage. This was rather easy. Then I started doing the challenges and these were damn hard! One medal is achieveable but 2 and 3 were a joke! I finally got the Predator Bronze achievement which represents 8 medals in Predator Challenges. The rest will have to come some other day if ever...
All in all I got 12 achievements spanning over to days worth 230 GS!

Watch out for these guys since they can cut you up and down!

Go achieve something!
